These must be treated with care as they are fragile and can easily be damaged when removed or re installed, making them useless and potentially making them very hard to remove. Roll pins, on the other hand, are a thin piece of steel which is rolled over to form a hollow pin with a thin wall. Solid pins are just as they sound and a regular pin punch will work for them as long as it is the same size as the pin. There are others, but these two are nearly a guarantee in every gun.
